SHARING IS CARING

Gingivitis is the early stage of gum disease. Gum disease, also known as periodontal disease, is an infection of the tissues that surround your teeth, and is caused by a buildup of plaque. In its early stages, symptoms may include:

Gums that bleed easily
Red, swollen, tender gums
Bad breath

Some factors that can put you at higher risk of developing gingivitis include:

  • Poor dental care
  • Smoking or chewing tobacco
  • Genetics
  • Crooked teeth that are hard to keep clean
  • Pregnancy
  • Diabetes
  • Medications, including steroids, certain types of anti-epilepsy drugs, cancer therapy drugs, some calcium channel blockers and oral contraceptives

This might sound scary, but at this stage the disease is still reversible. Eliminating the infection can be as easy as trip to the dentist office for a professional cleaning, as well as daily brushing and flossing.

Because gum disease is usually painless, you may not know you have it. This is why it’s important to schedule regular dental checkups in addition to maintain a good dental routine of brushing and flossing.

Invisalign
“Invisalign” clear aligners that increase confidence

Enhance personality and confidence
Fits your lifestyle
Suitable for all ages
Convenient and faster treatment time

What is invisalign?

Invisalign is the obvious alternative to metal braces. Invisalign utilizes a series of clear, removable aligners that are custom-made to fit each individual. The practically transparent aligners steadily straighten your teeth without the unappealing look of traditional metal braces. Due to the removable nature of the device, brushing your teeth and eating becomes less of a nuisance as with the metal braces.

What is clincheck ®

A computer program that displays a 3D animation and simulation planned by your dentist. This allows the patient to get a visual of how the treatment will progress, display changes overtime, and determine estimated time of treatment.
What are the clear benefits of Invisalign?
Clear and comfortable

Invisalign offers the benefit of invisibility and comfort, so they don’t irritate the soft tissue of your mouth. Invisilign can be easily removed during brushing and eating. Additionally, this convenience will reduce the risk of both cavities and gum disease when compared to traditional braces that often trap food and plaque. With Invisalign, you’ll have a beautifully straighter smile without giving up comfort and appearance. If only the Invisalign technology had been discovered sooner, millions of people could have avoided being called “metal mouth!”

What are the clear benefits of invisalign
How invisalign can develop the strength of your mouth

Teeth that are packed together or too widely spaced can create unhealthy conditions, including swollen gums, redness and pocketing, all of which are signs of periodontal disease. As Invisalign unnoticeably straightens your teeth, it will also make sure your teeth is aligned properly
Healthier gums

Thorough research has indicated that gum health may improve with the use of Invisalign during orthodontic treatment. Properly aligned teeth can help gums “fit” tighter around each tooth, which may lead to better periodontal health. As opposed to braces, with Invisalign, you can brush and floss normally, which can help to avoid tooth decay and gum disease.
Easier to clean

Unlike conventional braces, Invisalign has no metal bands or wires to ensnare with food or plaque. Sustaining a good oral hygiene program will inevitably reduce chances of plaque buildup, tooth decay and gum disease.
Improved chewing and speech

For most individuals, incorrectly situated teeth and jaws can exacerbate speech impairment and chewing problems. Adjusting your bite by straightening your teeth through Invisalign can help improve both.
Lower risk of trauma and abnormal wear

Teeth that are properly aligned will not cause any burden on the supporting bone and jaw joints

Different types of Invisalign
1. Invisalign I7

Invisalign i7 was developed as a solution for people who require minor tooth correction, whether adult or teenager. It can treat that slight overcrowding or annoying crooked front tooth that has bothered you for some time. People who had orthodontic treatment in the past may find that their teeth have shifted over time, leaving them once again feeling self-conscious about their crooked smile. Invisalign i7 can help by providing a series of clear, nearly invisible, removable aligners that fit easily and discreetly into your lifestyle.

2. Invisalign Lite

Invisalign Lite is available for slight correction of teeth that needs few movements to rectify the. Normally, Invisalign Lite requires for 8 to 14 aligners and the treatment is estimated to be complete by 6 months to 1 year.

3. Invisalign Teen

With Invisalign Teen®, you can straighten your teeth without having to deal with metal wires and brackets. That means you can still do all the things that make these the best times of your life.

You want what’s best for your child. Invisalign Teen can help build your teen’s confidence—a beautiful smile may enhance their chances to succeed during social, educational, and career events

Because your teen doesn’t have to be embarrassed by wearing visible metal braces, they may be able to more fully concentrate on school, social events, dates, sports, and musical interests, and any of the other many activities a teen concentrates on.

Since the aligners are removable, it’s easier for teens to brush, floss, and practice excellent dental hygiene—helping to avoid the tooth decay that’s sometimes associated with metal braces.

Perhaps best of all, Invisalign Teen aligners work. They use the same Invisalign technology that doctors worldwide have used to treat more than three quarters of a million patients who have wanted better smiles. Shouldn’t your teen’s smile be next?
3. Invisalign Full

Invisalign (Full) is for patients diagnosed with a more complicated case, such as very crowded teeth. For majority of these cases, it would take up to an average of 18 months to complete the treatment. However, the exact treatment time can increase or decrease depending on the complexity of each case. These cases would take up more than 14 pairs of Invisalign aligners.
4. How Invisalign works

How Invisalign works

In the past the main drawback of conventional braces used to correct, straighten, rotate, and align crooked teeth is that you could see them. Fortunately, Invisalign produces the same results – and YOU don’t look unattractive during the process. The question now is HOW?

The Invisalign process begins with a series of snap-on, custom fit, removable mouth trays, or aligners. These Invisalign aligners apply a controlled amount of pressure to your teeth, forcing them to shift. The process continues with a computer-generated image of what your teeth will look like at each stage of treatment from beginning to end. Each stage corresponds to the movement built into a set of aligners.

Additionally, each aligner is designed to pressure specific teeth to move into place. Like brackets and arch wires, Invisalign Aligners move teeth through the appropriate placement of controlled force on the teeth. The key difference is that Invisalign not only controls forces, but also controls the timing of the force application. At each stage, only certain teeth are able to move and these movements will be determined

by the orthodontic treatment plan for that particular stage. Accordingly, it results in an efficient force delivery system.

Ultimately, every fortnight you will switch to a new Invisalign tray. The clear plastic composition of the Invisalign trays is what makes it invisible when they are on your teeth.

Doesn’t it sound like Invisalign is the right option to straighten your smile? If yes, contact Dentajoy today and set up an appointment with one of our orthodontists to discuss a possible Invisalign treatment plan for you.
